Hello and happy Sunday! I thought I would do a quick update today so here it is:
If you're like me and any other girl, you want long, gorgeous hair that flows in the wind as the wind blows. Well I have a secret for you!
So I've been doing a little research and I came across an ancient Indian hair growth secret called hair oiling. As we know women from Indian have thick, long hair and that's what I'm aiming for!
One of the good things about hair oiling is that it can be used on any hair type: very thin, thin, medium, and coarse hair. With this being said, this means any girl could use it rather you're black, white, Hispanic, or asian. I promise you it will not make your hair greasy.
So here are the steps for hair oiling:
1. Find an oil that you would like to use. Iy can be an oil from your kitchen like olive, coconut, almond, sesame, pumpkin, etc. I usually use olive oil but today I'm using Dr. Miracle's Hair Growth Oil.
2. Next pour oil in a bowl and heat it up in a microwave for 1-2 minutes. Make sure you have enough oil to cover your all of your hair. So if you have long hair, you will need more oil than a person that has short hair.
3. Once the oil is heated (make sure it's not scalding hot!), you can apply it to your scalp. Part your hair either from front to back or from side to side. I usually part my hair from side to side as if I'm straightening my hair.
4. Dip your fingertips into the oil and massage the oil into your scalp. Continue this step until you have applied the oil all over your scalp.
5. Use the leftover oil and apply it to your hair as evenly as possible. Pay close attention to your ends.
6. Cover with a plastic cap or plastic bag. You have the option to leave it on overnight or leave it on for 30 minutes- 1 hour.
7. Now wash and condition your hair as normal.
A tip that I would like to give is that you do not want to apply so much oil to your hair that you have to shampoo your hair twice. Shampooing your hair twice will strip your hair and scalp of its natural oils.
One thing that I have found is that hair oiling is beneficial for those who suffer from dandruff. My scalp is usually dry and flaky and I have extreme dandruff but now my scalp is softer and moisturized for longer periods of time. My hair feels silky and smooth. Also from using this method for a month, I have experienced faster hair growth! Before my hair would only grow about 1/2 an inch a month but now it bumped up to 1 inch a month! I'm so happy ^_^
If you happen to try this method, comment and let me know what you think!
Thanks and have a blessed Sunday :)
